Esposin, JAKARTA – Aksi sejumlah anggota DPR yang berjoget dalam Sidang Tahunan MPR 2025 menuai kritik tajam dari publik. Dua nama yang paling disorot, yakni Eko Hendro Purnomo alias Eko Patrio dan Surya Utama alias Uya Kuya, akhirnya buka suara dan menyampaikan permohonan maaf secara terbuka.

Eko Patrio Janji Perbaiki Diri

Melalui video di akun Instagram pribadinya, Sabtu (30/8/2025), Eko Patrio menyampaikan permintaan maaf dengan didampingi rekannya, Pasha Ungu. Politikus PAN itu mengaku menyesal dan berjanji akan memperbaiki diri.

“Dengan penuh kerendahan hati saya, Eko Patrio menyampaikan permohonan maaf yang sedalam-dalamnya kepada masyarakat atas keresahan yang timbul akibat perbuatan yang saya lakukan,” ujar Eko melalui akun Instagram @ekopatriosuper.

Sebelumnya, Eko menuai kritik warganet setelah video dirinya bersama anggota DPR lainnya viral karena berjoget usai Presiden Prabowo menyampaikan pidato RAPBN 2026 dan Nota Keuangan.

Dalam wawancara dengan media, Senin (25/8/2025), Eko menjelaskan bahwa joget tersebut dilakukan spontan sebagai apresiasi terhadap hiburan orkestra dari Universitas Pertahanan.

Meski demikian, respons netizen tetap keras. Beberapa bahkan menyoroti pernyataan Eko yang dianggap menantang kritik publik.

"Tidak sedikit pun terbesit niat bagi saya memperkeruh keadaan. Tentunya kedepan saya akan lebih berhati-hati dalam bersikap dan menyampaikan pendapat," imbuhnya.

Uya Kuya: Hanya Menghargai Pemain Musik

Hal senada juga disampaikan Uya Kuya. Anggota Komisi IX DPR itu meminta maaf lewat akun Instagram resminya, Kamis (28/8/2025). Ia menegaskan bahwa aksi joget tersebut bukan bentuk pelecehan.

“Enggak ada maksud lain untuk ngeledek atau agenda lain. Itu murni untuk mengapresiasi pemain musik yang membawakan lagu Maumere,” kata Uya.

Namun, Uya menyadari video tersebut memicu keresahan publik setelah viral di media sosial. Ia pun siap menerima kritik dan berharap tidak ada narasi palsu yang berkembang.

“Kalau dianggap menyakiti, saya minta maaf. Setiap manusia pasti bisa salah, tapi mari kita juga saling menghargai,” tambahnya.

Dikecam Publik dan Dikaitkan dengan Privilege DPR

Video joget anggota DPR di Sidang Tahunan MPR, Jumat (15/8/2025), memang langsung viral. Banyak masyarakat menilai tindakan tersebut tidak pantas, apalagi dikaitkan dengan gaji dan tunjangan besar yang diterima wakil rakyat.

Kini, baik Eko Patrio maupun Uya Kuya berkomitmen untuk lebih berhati-hati dalam bersikap serta menjalankan amanah rakyat dengan penuh tanggung jawab.
